Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD: Seminar on IFAD’s Support to Community-Driven Development

Overview

The Independent Office of Evaluation of IFAD (IOE) is pleased to invite you to a seminar on IFAD’s Support to Community-Driven Development (CDD). The objective of the seminar is to share and discuss the findings of the IOE evaluation synthesis on IFAD’s support to CDD, with the aim of feeding the lessons drawn from completed CDD operations into IFAD’s revamped strategic approach (IFAD 2.0).

The event will be held on Friday 13 December 2019 at IFAD headquarters, from 9.30 to 11.35 a.m. (Central European Time).

Mr Janmejay Singh, Lead Social Development Specialist for South Asia and former Coordinator for the CDD Community of Practice, World Bank, will provide comments on this evaluation synthesis.

This will be followed by two discussion panels. The first will present lessons learned on how and why CDD will be relevant for IFAD’s future strategy. The second panel will present the ongoing initiatives to strengthen CDD principles as part of IFAD 2.0.
