Dear Colleagues,
Gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls are a cornerstone of realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They also underpin many aspects of how the SDGs will be achieved, and how quickly, as we strive for changes in social norms, cultural values and power structures to eradicate inequality and discrimination from the root.

As part of the ongoing global dialogue, we would like to invite you to an interactive webinar on lessons from UNDP’s work to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls as an SDG accelerator. We hope for an open and frank discussion, in which we can all share our views and learn from each other’s experiences. The discussion will also contribute to the consultation process for the development of the next UNDP Gender Equality Strategy.

The webinar will take place on Friday 10 December from 8:00 – 8:45 AM EST (New York), 2:00-2:45 PM CET (Geneva), 7:00-7:45 PM ICT (Bangkok).
