Evaluation of the UN Human Rights Annual Report and Annual Appeal

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is planning the evaluation of the UN Human Rights Annual Report and Annual Appeal to be conducted between August and December 2022.
In this regard, we are looking to recruit two external consultants (one evaluator, one expert in resource mobilization/fundraising); according to these profiles:
Evaluation expert
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, economics, or related field. A first level university degree in combination with a qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience conducting assessments, reviews or evaluations of projects, programs or policies in the UN or international context.
- Experience in human rights or related field (humanitarian assistance, peace operations).
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- Experience working in resource mobilization/fundraising.
- Knowledge of integration of human rights and gender perspectives in evaluations.
- Knowledge of UN Human Rights is desirable.
Thematic expert (resource mobilization/fundraising)
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, business, economics, or related field. A first level university degree in combination with a qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in planning, implementation or evaluations of projects, programs or policies on resource mobilization/fundraising in the UN or international context.
- Experience in evaluation.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- Experience working in human rights.
- Knowledge of UN Human Rights is desirable.
