Background

The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducts independent country programme evaluations (ICPEs) to support the development of Country Programme Documents and strengthen the accountability of UNDP to national stakeholders and the Executive Board.
IEO will conduct an ICPE of the UNDP Bangladesh program, commencing in the beginning of 2019, to feed into the preparation of UNDP’s new programme starting from 2021. The ICPE will be conducted in close collaboration with the Bangladesh Government, UNDP’s country offices, and the UNDP Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific.
The IEO is recruiting one or several consultants that can contribute in a substantive fashion to the evaluation, under the guidance and supervision of the IEO’s lead evaluator. The duration of the consultancy will vary depending on the specific tasks, ranging between 30 and 60 work days.
