Independent Country Programme Evaluation - China

08 Dec 2018

UNDP

The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will conduct an Independent Country Programme Evaluation (ICPE) in China in 2019. The ICPE will inform the elaboration of the new country programme with evaluative evidence of UNDP’s contribution to national development priorities. This is IEO’s third country programme evaluation conducted for China. It will examine UNDP’s work during the ongoing programme cycle 2016-2020. Results of the evaluation are expected to provide a set of forward-looking recommendations as input to the new CPD process for the next country programme.

The IEO is seeking two senior evaluation consultants who work in one or more of the following areas:

  • Poverty reduction and inclusive growth
  • Environmental protection and management (ecosystem, biodiversity, green energy, etc.), climate change, and related institutional framework
  • South-south and triangular development cooperation/assistance

In all areas, a gender-focused assessment is part of the programme analysis.

Full details are available on the UNDP website. Deadline for applications 25 December.
