TO
Organized By
FAO, GEF and IFAD
As part of the 2022/2023 Evaluation Practice Exchange, this session explored emerging experience from evaluations in terms of methods, guidance, and tools to help evaluators assess the climate change related aspects of interventions in food systems, focusing on recent evaluation efforts within UNEG, and specifically:
Suppiramaniam Nanthikesan (IFAD) discussed the highlights of the method and approach developed in the recent Thematic Evaluation of Climate Change adaptation to assess the effects on the ecosystem.
Luisa Belli and Lis Pinero (FAO) presented the guidance being developed by OED to mainstream climate change into evaluations of agri-food systems interventions.
Anupam Anand (GEF) elaborated on the use of spatial technology to evaluate interventions at the nexus of climate change, environmental conservation, and development.
Note: The 2022/2023 EPE sessions were held virtually because of COVID. Normally, the EPE is an in person event (for UNEG members and invited guests only) and the sessions are not normally recorded.
