Bio
Yogesh is a senior evaluator with the Independent Evaluation Office of UNDP. He has over 25 years of international development experience in leading and managing evidence-based policy, program, country and performance evaluations, research studies and impact assessments. Prior to joining IEO, Yogesh led the evaluation programme of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London contributing to planning and policy decisions, organisational learning and change at the Secretariat. Earlier at the International Water Management Institute (CGIAR)- in South Africa and Sri Lanka- he was responsible for evaluation and impact assessment of agriculture and natural resource development projects in Africa. He was responsible for designing and managing web based knowledge and learning platforms to facilitate knowledge sharing and promote learning. At CARE International in India, he established the Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Organisational Learning Unit providing strategic, advisory and technical support to all country programs. Yogesh enjoys working on collaborative programs in multi-cultural settings and has lived in India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, UK and the US and worked with partner organisations in over fifty developing countries in Asia, Africa, Caribbean and the Pacific.
