I bring nearly 30 years of experience in a range of substantive thematic areas: peace-building, diplomacy, humanitarian affairs, financial regulation. Some 20 years have been in international contexts: fourteen years in intergovernmental organisations (CTBTO, OPCW, and the UN World Food Programme) and seven years in the Norwegian diplomatic service (five of which in Asia: Bangkok and Hong Kong).

While trained in chemistry, the red thread in my background is organisational governance: strategy, policy, planning, results-based management, risk, regulation, change, review/evaluation, and knowledge management have been central to my work. I also brings some twelve years of management experience.
