Richard Jones, Evaluation Advisor at the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) UNDP joined the organisation in June 2016. Since starting with IEO Richard has taken the lead in IEOâ??s support to Decentralised Evaluation. This has included a revision of the quality assessment system as well as analysis of UNDP decentralized evaluation plans and the training of country office M&E focal points

In 2017 Richard is also carrying out the Independent Country Programm Evaluation (ICPE) for the Philippines and is supporting the ICPE for Kuwait.

Richard also managed and was lead author of the 2016 Annual Report on Evaluation.

During his 20 years in Development he has most recently worked as a technical advisor in local governance for DANIDA in Vietnam and on a DfID financed education programme in Tanzania developing planning, budgeting and M&E systems for local government. In addition to his work in systems strengthening he has undertaken numerous programme and country office evaluations for several organisations.
