Bio
Before joining UNHCR, Lori led evaluations of FAO (2007-2014) and UNICEF
(2014-2019) strategies and programmes. Having managed large scale humanitarian
programmes for the UN and partner organizations in Asia and Africa (1990-2007). Lori brings to her role an understanding of complex emergencies and the UN
reform landscape, with a strong orientation towards useful, strategic
evaluations that distil lessons and good practices and offer transformative
insights that can impact on senior management decision-making.
A Canadian, Lori has a masters degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from McGill University in Montreal. She has formal evaluation training (World Bank, ALNAP/Channel Research) and a strong background in research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative.
