Vacancy Announcement Details

The Evaluation Office of UNESCO’s Division of Internal Oversight Services (IOS) is currently seeking proposals from individuals/evaluation companies to conduct the Evaluation of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).  The evaluation will assess the relevance, effectiveness and impact of the ICTP’s three-fold mandate of (i) conducting world-class research in frontier areas of science, (ii) promoting advanced studies and research in physical and mathematical sciences, particularly in the developing world and (iii) providing an international forum for scientists from all countries to interact. It will further assess its coherence with UNESCO’s strategic objectives and determine the efficiency and sustainability of the centre. The objective is for the evaluation to provide evidence and recommendations to improve the implementation of this centre’s activities.
