Côte d'Ivoire ICPE - Evaluation Consultant/Governance Specialist

02 Apr 2024

UNDP

The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is conducting an independent country programme evaluation (ICPE) of UNDP's work in Côte d’Ivoire in 2024. ICPEs are independent evaluations carried out within the overall provisions contained in the UNDP Evaluation Policy.1 Their purpose is to:

  • Identify best practices, results, and key lessons from the ongoing country programme to support the development of the next UNDP Country Programme Document (CPD),
  • Strengthen the accountability of UNDP to national and international stakeholders, and the Executive Board, and
  • Contribute to institutional learning, knowledge generation and sharing.

As per agreed practices within UNDP since 2018, ICPEs are mandatory and systematically conducted in the penultimate year of implementation of a country programme to support the formulation of the next country programme period. ICPEs are expected to accompany the next draft CPD for its adoption by UNDP Executive Board. This will be the second independent evaluation of UNDP Programme in Cote d’Ivoire by the IEO2 and will review the UNDP's work within the current programme cycle (2020-2025).

The IEO seeks an independent consultant/evaluator to support the Evaluation Team in assessing the thematic area of governance to contribute to the ICPE for Cote d'Ivoire.
