The UNICEF Eastern and Southern Regional Office has commissioned an evaluation to identify key lessons and results achieved from the ongoing UNICEF Mozambique Country Programme, and to inform the development of the next Country Programme Document. This Country Programme Evaluation will cover the implementation of the Mozambique Country Programme at the country level from 2017–2020/1, capturing and demonstrating evaluative evidence of the effectiveness of UNICEF in both leveraging of national efforts and the organisation’s direct contributions in achieving development results for children at the country level. Special attention will be given to the Country Programme Outcomes 1 and 6 - namely Reduction of stunting and Adolescents and Social Norms – and the programme strategies used to achieve them. The CPE will also have a particular focus on UNICEF’s positioning within the development community and national partners in view of its ability to respond to Mozambique’s changing context.
